Occasions 3 - Reminders App Reviews

Had the old "Occasions" app. After IOS 7, I upgraded to "Occasions +". Work great like the old "Occasions", but you now I have to manually clear the "day of" alert off the app. It would be great if you could set the app to automatically clear the alert after the day of the event has passed.

No iCloud sync with iPad. Waste of money. Very generic looking UI, where are the automated themes? Prefer the older version. Where are the themes? Glad I kept the older version. Waste of a $1

Easily the best birthday reminder i tried. 2 things I would like to see. better image support and being able to categorize the persons, into e.g. Family, friends, colleagues etc.

This is the PERFECT birthday reminder app; and here are the reasons why 1. Time zone Birthday. If you are living in one country and you want to wish Happy Birthday to someone else loving in another country with big time difference between you both; then this app is great. Because until you CHECK off (☑️) the Birthday, as wished, it will keep a Red Badge indicating the number of Birthdays you have today on the icon of the app. ONLY when you check off a birthday, will the Birthday be marked as done and the Red Badge number will decrease. 2. Most Birthday Reminding apps will automatically be marked as done and the Red Badge number will be gone (cleared/zeroed) AS SOON AS YOU OPEN THE APP! That is so bad, because when we havent even completed the task, merely by opening the app, Birthdays will be automatically be cleared as done. This app is perfect as you have to manually check off when the Birthday is Wished/Done. Improvements Needed - 1. The ability to have multiple reminders for the Birthday ON THE SAME DAY. (Remind me at 12am and again reminder me at 4pm etc) 2. Ability to have Timezones attached with each Birthday. Import the Contacts LOCATION from Facebook and Phone Contacts List. AND the let the app reminder you it is someones Birthday at 12am on the Birthday Persons Timezones. (I will pay ($10) for this app just for this feature. The Timezones Feature! No one has it yet, so be the first. This app is prefect, and well worth the money spent.

Been using this since the beginning of time. Had to buy the + version but its worth it. Never forget any event again. Beautiful set up as well. Thank you Update: love this app but can you update for ios 7!? Thanks Thank-you for the new update!!!!!

Each update keeps improving the app. This has to be one of my most used apps (besides my games ;) I highly recommend this!

Ive tried the calendar that comes with my iPhone and all types of other different calendars and this is by far the best, love it. It has pulled me out of a lot of tight spots with the wife and kids concerning anniversaries birthdays and such. Awesome app!

Thanks for the update so much. I love the app more than ever. Can we have a Notification Center widget?

I love this app. Many years ago I had an IBM program called "Daily Organizer" which allowed me reminders of all types of events, however, with more sophisticated operating systems I lost the ability to use that program. Since that time I have continually been looking for something like that, and this app comes closer to it than anything else I have tried. It is very easy to use, and I expect to use it daily! Thank you, developers, for a very useful product!

It wont sync from my IPad and IPhone. Wish you could export the information out into a Excel or CVS Format. The export would be great for sharing the information with others and backing up all the data.

This company is one of the worst I have come across in the app store. They make an app, make quick money, do not support it, go make a plus version of it so people can spend again, and there is still no support. I had their original Occasions app but since they stopped updating it and introduced Occasions +, I bought that. I have no way of transfering/importing my data to the new app and these guys dont respond to your emails for support requests. So waste of money for me. If I was you I would stay away from all apps by Hand Carved code. There are many better apps out there with people who stand behind their app for any support you might need.

No longer supports FB sync & messaging from app. Im so disappointed because this was the best ALL occasions app! After trying 5 other birthday apps this one is the best! Imports all events from FB & Contacts (birthdays & anniversaries, etc.), lists them in a very legible chronological order, separates them by month and allows you to post or text or phone them from within the app. Different color themes are available and all pictures stay updated. The alert choices in this are the best!!! For FaceBook friends, I only need notification same day and for others I want more notice for gift giving. This app does that!!! One bug. I had a couple custom events in Occasions that I deleted & instead put the date directly into contacts. Wanted it to show up on my contacts calendar. Now those show up twice on the calendar. Its like Occasions remembers the deleted one.

Used to be the best app. Now when Facebook sync stopped working it is pretty much useless

Since FB doesnt work, Im looking for a replacement app.

Big Rip Off!!! I paid for the full version, and now the app isnt worth the paper it was written on. Terrible. Completely useless.

My world doesnt revolve around Facebook, so i couldnt care less about its missing integration. Love the app. Clean design. Great job guys.

Nothing to see here. Go find a different app.

That was one of the best features. If I have to look two places I will no longer use this app
